Featured Atlanta Venue: Ventanas, Atlanta
www.ventanasatlanta.com Where: Ventanas (rooftop of the Hilton Garden Hill) What sets them apart from the competition: Ventanas offers 360 degrees of roof-top viewing. You can see over Centennial Park, to Buckhead and all the way to Stone Mountain. With both indoor and outdoor spaces it offers a variety of breath taking sights. And a unique feature worth mentioning, they have a heli-pad. This provides the opportunity for a really amazing formal departure! This space is brand new, hosting an event here is sure to provide an original location for your wedding at a venue your guests have never seen before. Spotlighted Vendor: Original’s Cakes and Catering
What they do: Wedding Cakes, Groom’s Cakes, and Full Service Catering What sets them apart from the competition: Original’s offers beautiful cakes and food, great customer service and affordable pricing. I have had the privilege of working with Diane and her team on several events. Each time they have gone above and beyond; from suspending candles from window sills at my request to providing additional linens, they really go the extra mile to make every event a success. Not to mention their food and cakes are truly affordable! Who to contact: Diane Lovell, Owner How: originalscatering@comcast.net or 770-471-3259 |

Most Impressive Wedding Idea I’ve seen this month: Non-Matching bridesmaid dresses
I love this new trend for many reasons. First, it allows each of your attendants to create their own look and be individual (while staying within a price range that is in their budget). Second, that age old saying “you can wear it again” about bridesmaid’s dresses is actually true in this circumstance. Lastly, it shows originality on your part as a bride. We have all been to a million weddings where the bridesmaids look like carbon copies of each other, same dress, same hair, and same bouquet. Selecting different (but complimentary) colors for bridesmaid’s dresses is sure to break through the monotony and garner some attention from guests. |

What’s happening? Wedding events in Atlanta this month:
As we approach the Holidays, specifically Thanksgiving this month, the number of wedding shows decreases. But there will be tons of bridal events to look forward to in January 2010! |
