Wedding Design Idea: An ambigram combines word-art and optical illusions; a word is drawn so that it will appear the exact same when flipped up-side down. This creates a beautifully symmetrical piece of artwork is sure to catch your guests’ eye and serve as a great conversation piece. After viewing thousands of wedding invitations, designs and monograms it is always refreshing in to see something customized and different.

Featured Atlanta Venue Month: St. Regis, Atlanta
Where: 88 West Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta, GA 30305
What sets them apart from the competition: I recently had to privilege of touring this venue that debuted in Buckhead in April of this year. It is simply stunning. There is an elegant terrace on the fourth floor that is extremely plush; accessible by an adjacent winding staircase is an amazing pool that contains a fountain with up lighting. It is truly breath taking. Not to mention this hotel has the most impressive bathrooms that I have ever seen; tons of marble, personal stalls/room and huge mirrors. Trust me, you’ve got to see the crystal chandeliers for yourself (they are in all of the ballrooms and hallways). Among the other outstanding details they offer unparalleled service. The hotel’s superb culinary staff creates custom menus for each event.

Spotlighted Vendor: Delphine Press
www.delphinepress.com
What they do: Letterpress and digital invitations/stationary
What sets them apart from the competition: They use heavy archival, high post-consumer waste content and 100 percent cotton (tree-free) papers, and you’ve gotta love their soy-based ink. Environmentally friendly products are my favorite!

Most Impressive Wedding Idea I’ve seen this month: Floral Monograms
Personally, I love flowers and monograms. This is a perfect marriage of the two! When using real flowers for a craft like this it is crucial to not glue to flowers on until as late as possible. Different flowers have different life spans once they are cut off from their water source. Your best bets are mums or daisies, since they are sturdy! Be sure to check out the how to’s on-line for step by step directions.
